Jointly-owned CITY OF DENVER trainset with 3 1,200 horsepower engines: #CD-07-A, #CD-07-B, and #CD-07-C. #CD-07-A and #CD-07-B were built by P-S (Lot #6484, Plans #7358 and #7359) and EMC (Order #E123) in July 1936 as #M-10003, and were renumbered in June 1937. #CD-07-C was built by UP in December 1939, using the engine from #M-10001, which had been built by P-S (Lot #6426, Plan #7338) and EMC (Order #E121) in October 1934. All 3 units were retired in March 1953 and subsequently sold for scrap to Aaron Ferer in Omaha; the actual scrapping took place in July. In October 2014 Transnet Freight Rail and Transnet Engineering purchased fourteen used ex Queensland Railways 2170 Class Clyde/EMD GL26C-2 diesel-electric locomotives from Aurizon Holdings Limited, a publicly listed rail freight company in Australia. Designated Class 35-800, most were allocated to the Western Cape system and are based at Bellville Loco Depot for service on the Saldanha and Piketberg lines, while the remaining units are believed to have been allocated to the Eastern Cape system.
