One last roster shot as this former NJTR, nee-CNW F7A leaves Ringoes for the last time. Built by EMD in 1949 as CNW 4073A, it was later renumbered 418 and mainly used in Chicago area passenger service. Acquired by NJ Transit as an extra locomotive for the Hoboken Division in the 1980s, it was later donated to the URHS and moved to the Black River & Western for restoration. After quite a few decades of storage at both Lambertville and Ringoes, it will now be moved to the URHS restoration facility at the former DL&W West Boonton Yard. |
