Description:
1.2.1984 Quitman, GA. On our way to Alabama boarder to photograph ALCOs on the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad, we stumbled upon Southern's engine terminal in Quitman, GA, midway point on the Adel to Foley section of the Live Oak & Perry subdivision at the time of Southern's Coastal Division. There in Quitman the rail passed over SCL's Thomasville to Waycross Thomasville Subdivision of the Waycross Divsion. There sat SOU GP30 #2605 taking off the New Year's Day-after.
