Fairly nice photo of the Alco-Rhode Island 0-6-0 steam yard switcher built in August of 1906. There is a whitish developer stain on the photo unfortunately but most of the details are easily seen. Specs - serial #41176, class B-7, 52" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 154,040 lb, tractive effort of 34,673 lb. The loco was scrapped in May of 1950. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo but it appears to be in the Wabash Shops area in Decatur, IL. |
