The 2-8-0 Consolidation was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1906 as Grand Trunk Rwy #662 but merged on to the CN roster in 1923 as their #2526 seen here. Specs - serial #39559, class N-4-a, 56" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 46,250 lb. The locomotive was scrapped in January of 1959. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo. Does anyone recognize the location from the buildings to the right? |
