Description:
Here is a postal card entitled "Pennsylvania 7299." No Postmark. Caption On Reverse: "Consolidation 7299 clean and ready for work. The 2-8-0 is in the yard at Sandusky, Ohio, Spetember, 1950. In 1924, the Pennsy had over three thousand H class 2-8-0 locomotives on the roster. Photo: Carl H. Sturner Collection." #7299 is an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consoldiation" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1913 and retired in February of 1955 after 42 years of faithful service.
