According to a couple sources, this 4-6-0 ten wheeler was built by the CP shops in 1910 and just one of the over 600 ten wheelers that were on the CP roster at one time. Description: |
With a tender full of coal and a full head of steam, this Canadian Pacific 4-6-0 ten wheeler is ready to roll out. Built by the CP Angus Shops in 12/1910 as CP 2687, it was renumbered in 1913-14 to 887. The loco met its fate at the hands of a scrapper's torch in August of 1958 after nearly 48 years of service. Specs - no serial #, class D10G, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x28" cylinders, engine weight of 177,000 lb, tractive effort of 33,320 lb. J.R. Quinn photo |
