"Black Arrow" was the winner for #4113. Specifics - class R-1, 73" drivers, 240 psi boiler pressure, 28"x31" cylinders, engine weight of 416,100 lb, tractive effort of 67,918 lb. Description:  Long and powerful, this Baldwin 4-8-2 Mountain type steam locomotive was built in June of 1941 and was the heaviest Mountain type built in the US. "Black Arrow" was the winning entry in the naming contest that B&M staged when it was delievered. The loco served the B&M until dieselization ended its career. It was scrapped in September of 1956.
