CB&Q Coach 6116
Title:  CB&Q Coach 6116
Description:  Crossing a low trestle near Lafayette, CO, CB&Q Coach 6116 follows behind C&S 2-8-0 646. 6116 was built by AC&F in 1916. 6116 would later be rebuilt into a Generator-Coach for Chicago commuter service (CB&Q 7309). After retirement 7309 was sold to the Barstow Station complex in Barstow, CA.

Rio Grande Steam Generator 253
Title:  Rio Grande Steam Generator 253
Description:  Parked at Denver is D&RGW Steam Generator 253. 253 started life as 1947 ALCo built PB-1 6002. In October 1965, 6002 was converted to Steam Generator 253. 253 would be sold to ANSCO in 1987 and operated as part of the Rio Grande Ski Train. It was placed in storage in 2001. In 2006, it was sold to Algoma Central and numbered 78. As of 2023, it is believed to still be in existence.

Rock Island Coach 350
Title:  Rock Island Coach 350
Description:  Bringing up the rear of the last run of the Rocky Mountain Rocket is CRI&P Coach 350. 350 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1940. It originally carried the name "Amarillo" in addition to the number. The car was retired in 1967 and sold to El Paso Iron & Metal.

Westbound Yampa Valley
Title:  Westbound Yampa Valley
Description:  Bringing up the rear of the westbound Yampa Valley Mail was Dome Coach-Lounge-Obs. 1248. 1248 was built by Budd in 1948 as Chesapeake & Ohio 1875. It was sold to the Rio Grande in 1949 and renumbered 1248. 1248 was sold to Autoliner in 1970 and was sold that same year to Ben Butterworth. Butterworth ran the car as the "Big Ben" out of Chicago on the Rock Island for most of the 1970s. "Big Ben" was later leased to Golden Arrow Tours. In 1995, "Big Ben" was donated to the C&O Historical Society. It would be sold to a private owner in 2002. In 2005, the Butterworth family would buy the car. It is currently stored in an undisclosed location.

Description:  Climbing the Front Range at Fireclay was the westbound CZ. The train was one dome short on this occasion. A spare Dome 3-1-Lounge-Obs. substituted for one of the Dome Coaches on this run.

Grant Supply Diner 8074
Title:  Grant Supply Diner 8074
Description:  Seen in storage at Walden, CO was Grant (Supply) Corporation Diner 8074. 8074 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1950 as Santa Fe 605. It was sold to Amtrak in 1971 and numbered 8074. The car was sold to Grant Supply in 1977 and was named "Navasota". At some point it ended up at Walden, CO with the Wyoming & Colorado equipment. It would eventually be sold to K. Bitten and moved to Pennsylvania. The car supposedly still exists in the Chicago area.
