Description:  Close up look at the CP/CN freight transfer, not far from its destination - the CP Welland yard. I didn't know it at the time, but the train would stop to snag a handful of cars at the Trillium/CN siding tracks, giving me a chance for some shots at the Feeder Road service access.

I got a friendly wave from the female brakeman as the train rolled by. The CP yard crews know me pretty well, and always slow down a little - 'posing' their train for my camera.

Description:  I missed seeing ALCO locomotives during their 'haydays' in the 50s, 60s and 70s, so it's kind of an honour to be able to occasionally see them basking in the sun, or even better, hard at work in the Welland and Port Colborne area. Still slogging it daily for Trillium Railways is this venerable ALCO duo.

Description:  Even though the weather was pretty gloomy, I'm glad I headed out. I picked up the CP/CN freight transfer on my radio scanner, and my timing was perfect, as the train had just arrived at CN Southern yard, and was about to pull through the Ridge Road grade crossing. The rhythmic chant of dual Geeps - still putting in a full day's work - totally makes my day.
