Here are 39 photos of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel locomotives. All of them were purchased in a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Louis Fols on Sunday, on 29 March 2020. The photographer's name, the locomotive number(s), the date, and the location are cited when specified on the slide mount.

Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, in March of 1960. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9601 and three more "AF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company. #9601 was constructed in July of 1948, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in December of 1963 after just 15 years of revenue service. In this context, this A-B-B-A set of locomotives has just passed through the Allegheny Tunnel pulling a long string of empty hopper cars back to the bituminous coal mines of frozen Western Pennsylvania. Both are FF-20's built by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #9475 was built as an FP-20A in June of 1948, regeared and reclassified as an FF-20, and retired in September of 1962 after just 14 years' service. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8930, #8932, and #8808. All are road switchers built by Fairbanks-Morse. #8930 and #8932 are FS-20M's rated at 2,000 horsepower each; #8930 was built in June of 1951 and retired in December of 1966, while #8932 was built in April of 1951 and retired in July of 1966.
